In Paris, the rents are in light decline while in Paris area, they are stable or in light increase.

After several months of strong increases (+ 6,7 % in the last twelve months), the rents slow down in Paris. In three months, they lost 0,5 % to become established on average in 28,56 euro per m². This movement is not homogeneous in Paris because the tenants of the 1st undergo an increase of 7,3 % since December when those of the 20th see the price of the m² coming down to 22,50 euro (-3,3 %).

The rents progress still slightly in the majority of the departments of “Ile-de-France”.

The monument paying most visited of the world, will have a new dress for his 120th birthday: a painting campaign that will take 18 months.
On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the construction of the Eiffel Tower, 25 workers, equipped as mountaineers, began the 19th season of renewal: 60 tons of lead-free paint "brown Eiffel Tower" will be needed to cover some 250,000 m² of beams.

For an uniform result, three shades of paint will be spread to the old brush, from the dark bottom clearer at the top. Brown was chosen to color the tower early in its history. It was then painted in yellow, then red in the 1950s before returning to its original color. In all, 1500 brushes should be used for this campaign, 1000 pairs of gloves, 1000 spatulas to scrape, 1500 combinations and two hectares of nets.

Throughout the work, the tower will remain open seven days a week to the many visitors who brave long queues to see Paris from above. The number of visits of the Eiffel Tower increases slightly in 2008 with 6.9 million visitors, 75% foreigners, 0.5% over the previous year.
